About Jane

Jane Bergère has produced numerous Broadway hits and Tony Award-winning shows including Driving Miss Daisy starring James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave; A Little Night Music starring Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch; La Cage aux Folles starring Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge; All My Sons starring John Lithgow and Katie Holmes; Mark Twain’s Is He Dead? starring Norbert Leo Butz; Curtains starring David Hyde Pierce in a Tony Award-winning role; Glengarry Glen Ross starring Alan Alda, Liev Schreiber, Frederick Weller, Gordon Clapp, Jeffrey Tambor, Liev Schreiber, Tom Wopat and Jordan Lage; Caroline, or Change by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner; and Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses.

Jane’s Off Broadway and regional productions include The Exonerated, Houdini The Musical and Capture Now. She also produced the national tour and London productions of The Exonerated.

Jane has worked on a number of international productions including the current production Dr.Zhivago, A New Musical in Australia. She was the Executive Producer of Anjou, A Tale of Horror, which debuted in New York at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF).  The show drew accolades, and its star Liesel Lar won the 2009 NYMF award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress.  Jane took the show to China and to South Korea for the Daegu International Musical Festival in 2010.

Prior to her work as a Broadway producer, Jane was the Artistic Director of Connecticut’s Broadway Theatre in Darien, CT where she produced over 50 musicals, including The King and I; Guys and Dolls; The Sound of Music; Barnum; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; and Mame.

As an actress, she has performed on Broadway, regionally and on television.
